It seems it has been awhile since I have been able to post, but my days grow shorter by the minute and my running around like a chicken with my head cut off actually becomes a daily occurrence. With now three businesses (one a partnership) and two other’s I run on my own, I seem to have little time to keep my adventure journal up to date. However, this being the peak time of year for the three “B’s” (Brides, babies and birthdays) I am booking parties left and right and doing an occasional pampering session in between what little free time I have had.
The last event that I did was a beautiful Bridal Shower for a lovely Ms. Sarah. Giggly and bubbly and full excitement and she had a hard time sitting still to let me complete her feet, but she indeed did get through it. There, she had family and friends from all over the world, even a sister (the photographer) who traveled from abroad to be there for her on her special day. Most of which were teachers and librarians who worked extensively with kids. I found it enjoyable to educate and teach those that where there the joy of Henna (Mehndi) and even was able to give them more information on the dangers of the Black Henna epidemic and the ugly repercussions of PPD.
Sarah wanted her feet done, and only simple designs for her hands. All in all, I think she enjoyed the experience and hopefully the color stayed much longer than she had anticipated.
